Post-Publication Discussions

JSI (Jurnal Sistem Informasi) · Universitas Suryadarma

Policy Statement
JSI (Jurnal Sistem Informasi), Universitas Suryadarma, encourages constructive scholarly dialogue and the critical examination of published research. The journal provides opportunities for readers and researchers to raise academic questions, offer reasoned critiques, and contribute to the ongoing development of scientific knowledge after publication.

Submission of Comments and Letters

Readers and scholars may submit scholarly critiques, comments, or Letters to the Editor concerning articles previously published in JSI. Submissions should be sent to the journal's official editorial email address.

Submission Guidelines
  • Clearly identify the published article being discussed, including its title and available bibliographic details.
  • Present arguments in a respectful, evidence-based, and academically appropriate manner.
  • Focus on the scholarly content, methodology, interpretation, or implications of the published work.
  • Provide the author's name and affiliation, along with relevant references supporting the discussion.

Editorial Assessment

All submitted comments and letters will be assessed by the Editorial Board for relevance, scholarly merit, factual support, clarity, and suitability for publication. The journal may decline submissions that are outside its academic scope, lack a substantive scholarly basis, or do not meet appropriate standards of academic communication.

Right of Reply

Where a submitted critique raises substantive questions about a published article, the original authors will be invited to provide a written response or rebuttal. This opportunity supports balanced academic discussion and enables readers to consider the relevant arguments from both perspectives.

Publication of Discussions and Responses

When considered appropriate by the Editorial Board, the accepted commentary and the original authors' response may be published in a subsequent issue of JSI. Publication is subject to editorial assessment and the journal's applicable editorial standards. The decision to publish a discussion or rebuttal does not necessarily imply endorsement of every argument expressed by its contributors.

Commitment to Open Scholarly Dialogue

JSI is committed to fostering a respectful, evidence-based, and academically rigorous environment for post-publication discussion. Through constructive criticism and the opportunity to respond, the journal aims to support research transparency, scholarly accountability, and the continuous advancement of knowledge.
