Journal History

Jurnal Ilmiah M-PROGRESS was initially managed by the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (UNSURYA), Jakarta. It later transitioned under the management of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, UNSURYA, Jakarta.

This journal focuses on the fields of economics and socio-humanities as applied in industry, government, and academia. All published articles emphasize validation of the ideas presented, through methods such as case studies, experiments, or systematic comparisons with alternative approaches.

The journal was first printed in 2011, with the aim of serving as a platform for publishing research findings, theoretical studies, and applied management science from academics, researchers, practitioners, and students. Topics covered span various areas of management, including marketing management, financial management, human resource management, business management, and aviation management.

Over time, significant developments have taken place. Since 2022, a new editorial team has overseen the management of Jurnal Ilmiah M-PROGRESS, currently led by Rita Intan Permatasari, S.TP, MM as Editor in Chief, along with a team of national and international reviewers with expertise in their respective fields.

Jurnal Ilmiah M-PROGRESS is published biannually, in January and June. Over the years, the journal has undergone several advancements in editorial and publication systems, including the adoption of the Open Journal System (OJS) for online manuscript management.

The journal is committed to maintaining high publication standards through a rigorous selection process and a double-blind peer review system, while upholding scientific publication ethics in accordance with both national and international standards.

Key Milestones in Journal Management:

  • 2011 – First print edition of M-Progress Journal
  • 2016 – Migration to OJS 2 platform
  • 2018 – Implementation of the double-blind peer review system
  • 2019 – Renamed to Jurnal Ilmiah M-Progress
  • 2023 – Strengthening of indexing and journal governance improvements
  • 2025 – Migration to OJS 3 platform

Jurnal Ilmiah M-PROGRESS remains committed to continuously enhancing its quality and contribution to the development of management science in Indonesia.
