Journal History

Jurnal Bisnis & Akuntansi Unsurya is a scientific journal managed by the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (UNSURYA), Jakarta.

This journal focuses on the field of economics applied in industries, government, and universities. All articles published include validation of the presented ideas, for example through case studies, experiments, or systematic comparisons with other approaches.

The journal was first published in 2011 with the aim of providing a platform for the publication of research results, theoretical studies, and applications of accounting knowledge from academics, researchers, practitioners, and students. The topics covered include various areas of business & accounting, such as financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, accounting information systems, public sector accounting, sharia financial accounting and management, auditing, corporate governance, ethics and professionalism, finance and companies, capital markets, banking, and sustainability reporting.

Jurnal Bisnis & Akuntansi Unsurya is published periodically twice a year, in January and June. Over time, this journal has undergone several updates in its management and publication system, including the adoption of the Open Journal System (OJS) for online manuscript management.

This journal is committed to maintaining the quality of its publications through a rigorous selection process and a double-blind peer review system, while upholding scientific publication ethics according to national and international standards.

Important Milestones in Journal Management:

  • 2011 – First print of Jurnal Bisnis & Akuntansi Unsurya
  • 2016 – Migration to OJS 2 platform
  • 2018 – Implementation of double-blind peer review system
  • 2023 – Strengthening indexing and improving journal management
  • 2025 – Migration to OJS 3 platform

Jurnal Bisnis & Akuntansi Unsurya will continue to strive to enhance the quality and contribution to the development of accounting knowledge in Indonesia.
